The Last Squire

Made for the 2026 Summer Summit Game Jam

Winner of the Most Innovative Game Mechanic Award.

This game was designed to be played co-op, but it can be played single-player as well.

Controls

Player 1 Keyboard Controls (Knight): 

A, D to rotate left and right, W, S to move forward and back. SPACE to slash.

Player 2 Mouse Controls (Fairy): 

Left Mouse Button to use your selected ability. Right Mouse Button to switch between your three abilities. 

Careful! Everything that you can do to the enemies you can do to the knight (and vice-versa)

Description: 

Being somehow the kingdom's last hope, you squire, must save our kingdom from ruin! You're not very good at holding that sword, though, are you?  (Oh god, we're doomed...) 

Luckily, an all-powerful magical fairy is here to help you! (And save us all from eternal doom and suffering at the hands of the undead horde).

You must work together to fend off the skeleton army attacking the kingdom and survive (as again, you're our last and only hope. Sigh...)
